They acquired various skills, such as goal-setting, problem-solving and sound decision-making, are not just necessary for leaders – these skills are needed for success in today’s world.
The activity envisioned to shape youth leadership development in the field of Communication (public speaking, and engaging the participation of others), Teamwork (respecting others, performing roles of both leader and follower, building on strengths) Personal Identity ( understanding the relationship between oneself and the community, pride in being a member of a larger group, awareness of areas for self-improvement) and Professionalism (demonstrating tactfulness, understanding protocols, delivering quality work, positively presenting oneself to others).
“Young leaders are considered as extension arms in attaining our dreams for our barangays. Competitive, desciplined youth is an assurance of having a much brighter future and good generation that would love lasting peace and development”, Mayor Dimaporo explained.
